WaiBOP Premiership, Championship and W-League titles all decided

A hat-trick by Cook Islands international Harem Simiona helped Ngongotaha to come from behind twice for their 3-2 win against West Hamilton United in the WaiBOP Premiership.

The 29-year-old forward twice levelled for Ngongotaha before he struck the game’s winning goal with 14 minutes left.

The win lifted Ngongotaha above West Hamilton on the league table, and out of the competition’s bottom two.

Meanwhile, leaders Waikato Unicol confirmed their Premiership title, beating nearest rivals Taupo 3-1.

Reuben Henderson, Casey Sharplin and Jack Imray scored the goals as Unicol reached 50 goals for the season.

The side has conceded a mere nine goals all season.

The only question now is whether Unicol can complete their unbeaten season.
