Ellerslie and Hamilton Wanderers picked up wins in Sunday’s fixtures in the Lotto NRFL Women’s Premier League.
With the top four sides having played on Friday or in the Kate Sheppard Cup, it was left to the teams in the lower half of the table to play.

Here’s how the Sunday games went:
Early goals key to Ellerslie success
Two goals in the first 10 minutes gave Ellerslie an advantage they held for their WPL game against West Coast Rovers, in which they won 3-0 at Michaels Avenue.
Britney Cunningham-Lee scored the first after only six minutes and Kimberley Oosterbeek doubled the home side’s lead three minutes later.
Cunningham-Lee added another after 45 minutes, sending Ellerslie into the interval with a 3-0 lead.
Neither side were able to break through in the second period of play and the win ensures Ellerslie stays above Rangers on the table.
Wanderers win leaves Tauranga adrift
A strong second half gave Hamilton Wanderers a decisive 4-1 win at Tauranga City, leaving the Bay of Plenty club 12 points adrift at the foot of the table.
Tauranga took the lead in the 32nd minute through Abigail Turnbull but an own goal credited to home side skipper Serena Murrihy sent the teams into half-time tied at 1-1.
Tiana Hill put Wanderers ahead two minutes into the second spell.
Leading goalscorer Helen Arjomandi stretched the lead to 3-1 with a goal in the 74th minute, her 11th of the season.
Three minutes later, a second own goal sealed the result for Wanderers.
