Men’s and women’s cup competitions take centre stage this weekend

Knockout competitions dominate this weekend’s fixture lists with men’s and women’s cups offering the best entertainment for spectators wanting live action.

On Sunday, North Harbour Stadium hosts the Kate Sheppard Cup final (1pm) and the Chatham Cup final (4pm).

The women’s showcase event is between Lotto NRFL Women’s Premier League champions Northern Rovers and Auckland United.

The Chatham Cup final sees Northern League champions Auckland City playing Eastern Suburbs in their 10th final.

For Northland clubs, Trigg Arena becomes the centre of attraction this weekend as the stadium hosts men’s finals (Saturday) and the region’s women’s final (Sunday).

On Sunday, New Zealand take their next step to qualifying for next year’s FIFA U-20 Men’s World Cup when they take on American Samoa at the OFC U-19s Championships.
