Takapuna AFC’s women’s fourth division side finished their winter season with a third placing in their competition — just one win from a title.
But they were determined to win something from their season … and they did. In style.
The team entered the end-of-season women’s tournament in Tauranga and despite a first-day loss, and a second-day cancellation, they returned to Auckland with the tournament prize for being the best-dressed team.
Not surprising, really … it’s not every day, you get to play as a team of Minions.
