Fixture details now available for 13 women’s internationals to be played in February

The fixture list is now available for the 13 women’s international games to be played in Auckland and Hamilton next February, as part of the FIFA Women’s World Cup intercontinental play-off series.

The week-long series includes four friendly internationals, and nine games which will decide the last three sides to qualify for the Women’s World Cup to be co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia in July/August.

Kick-off times have yet to be confirmed for the games which will be played at Auckland’s North Harbour Stadium and Hamilton’s FMG Stadium Waikato.

A “guest nation” has still be to be revealed but that side will play Chile on February 17 and then play the Football Ferns on February 20.

Tickets will go on sale for the play-off series in early 2023.

Volunteers needed

Applications are open for volunteers who want to help make next February’s FIFA Women’s World Cup play-off tournament a success in Auckland and Hamilton.

The volunteers will help at the stadia, training sites, hotels, Auckland Airport and transport hubs.
