Seamus Casey heads to Australia after four years with WaiBOP Football

WaiBOP Football has farewelled popular Federation Development Officer Seamus Casey who has moved to Australia for career opportunities.

Casey has left WaiBOP after four years in which he worked as an FDO, initially based in Rotorua, and then took on and grew the federation’s goalkeeper development and coach education programmes.

Casey was also goalkeeper coach to the WaiBOP side that competed in the Women’s National League.

Casey also took up refereeing, following father Chris Casey who is a long-serving referee in the northern region.
