The All Whites might have missed a place at the FIFA World Cup finals in Qatar — but at least one New Zealander will be representing his country at the tournament.

Auckland maths teacher and sports fanatic Omar Dada is one of 20,000 volunteers from around the world who will be working for FIFA at the World Cup which starts on Monday (November 21).

1News caught up with Dada before he left for the tournament for a story that was broadcast on Breakfast.
