Ten referees have been appointed to act as a Referee Advisory Committee to provide advice to Northern Region Football.

The RAC plays a crucial and strategic role advising on referee development, appointments, testing, fitness and education, as well as fostering communication and collaboration between our referee community, NRF and NZ Football.

Announcing the RAC for 2023, NRF said: “Referees are crucial to delivering our quality competitions strategy — we’ve got some big targets around development and recruitment, and the Referee Advisory Committee provides important leadership and support to our referee group.”

The committee for next year is: Ashley Wilson, Avinal (Avi) Narayan, Chris Casey, Paul Smith, Jeffrey Dyer, David Brooke, Kate Lambert, Aaron Day, Kirsty Whiting and Kevin Turnock.

Nominations for the 2024 committee will open in late 2023.
