Metro extends deadline for applications for vacant Director of Football role

Metro FC have extended the deadline for applications for their vacant role of Director of Football.

The club is looking to recruit a suitably-qualified candidate who can oversee the development of junior and youth football in 2023.

The vacancy follows the departure of Tim Ragg late last year to take up a DoF and head coach at Onehunga Mangere United.

In its advertisement for the role, Metro says: “The successful applicant will be required to work closely with the Auckland City Football Club Academy Director to ensure a unified approach in line with the club’s MoU with ACFC.”

Applicants should hold the OFC/NZF B Licence (or C Licence Holder and be actively working towards their B Licence).

Metro FC will support the successful candidate in achieving this if required.

Essential requirements

  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Well-organised and passionate for the development of footballers.
  • Ability to develop successful strategy and plans for continued improvement of Whole of Football Programme.
