Franklin United name coaches to build pathway for female players

posted in: Coaching News, News

Legendary Solomon Islands captain Henry Fa’arodo has been appointed Women’s Development Co-ordinator at Franklin United.

The 64-cap international will also coach United’s women’s reserve team.

The women’s first team, who play in the NRF Conference, will be coached by Pablo Nunez who enters his second season at the helm.

Announcing the appointments, Franklin United paid tribute to Jason Oliver, who steps away this year.

“The club would like to say a massive thank you to Jason Oliver for his huge contribution to Franklin United over the years as he concentrates on family commitments in 2023. He will no doubt be supporting the club when available to attend games.”

The club expects to announce support staff soon for the 2023 women’s programme and says it is also looking to provide pathways for female players with the re-introduction of Girls U-14 and Girls U-12 teams in 2023.
