He replaces Andy Pitman, who stepped down at the end of last year.

In its announcement, Nomads said:

“A new season brings new challenges and opportunities; for us this year, it has been about finding a new Southern League coach, as well as looking to have a strong Canterbury Premier League season thanks to our U=20’s achievements & promotion last season.

“We have therefore been fortunate to secure the services of our Director of Football, Matt Jansen as the Southern League Head Coach. And retain Kevin Peters as the Canterbury Premier League Head Coach.

“It is an exciting time for the club, we are looking forward to the season ahead with these Nomads teams. We wish them all the best!”

Nomads finished 7th in the 10-team Southern League last season, after winning promotion the year before.

The club has confirmed its senior men’s coaching staff for 2023.
