Searle (26) was used sparingly by Melville in last year’s Northern League campaign but the C-Licence coach was a key member of the club’s youth team set-up.

Lawrence (19) became a first-team regular last season, scoring five goals in the Northern League and four in the National League

Searle and Lawrence become the latest recruits from the Waikato after the earlier signing of defender Joe Harris (29) from Hamilton Wanderers.

Other new players joining Rangers for the upcoming Central League season are Jonty Roubos, Blake Inder, Seb Barton-Ginger and Blake Chandler.
