Canterbury United Dragons are crowned national men’s futsal champions

Canterbury United Dragons are the national men’s futsal champions after winning a tightly-contest all-South Island final against Southern United.

Canterbury hung on to win the men’s Ford Futsal Superleague final 5-4 after United fought back to set up a nailbiting finish at Wellington’s Ākau Tangi Sports Centre.

Canterbury had to overcome Auckland City 3-1 in the semi-final to set up a grand final against United who beat Capital 5-1 in their semi-final.
