RESULT: Stoppage time goals take Christchurch United to top of the table

Two goals in stoppage time gave Christchurch United a 2-0 win against Selwyn United in Friday night’s only Southern League fixture.

Locked up 0-0 after 90 minutes, the game seemed destined for a draw but United secured the points with goals from Dan MacLennan and Abdulbaset Khalifa.

The win takes United to the top of the table, at least till Sunday when Cashmere Technical play Coastal Spirit.
