VIDEO: How Football Fern Rebekah Stott has dealt with life’s ‘curveball’

Since making her debut for the Ford Football Ferns on her 19th birthday, Papamoa-born Rebekah Stott has been a key member of the Ferns family, on and off the pitch.

In a journey that’s taken her right across the world, from moving to Australia as a youngster to playing everywhere from America to Germany and England, Stott’s story is one of resilience.

No time has she needed that resilience more than in early 2021, when she was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Here, in this video story produced by NZ Football, Stott looks back on coming through that time, and using her experiences as a platform to help others battling cancer.
