OlyWhites to learn qualification pathway for next year’s Paris Olympics

New Zealand will learn their pathway to the 2024 Paris Olympics on Thursday June 15 when the draw is made for the Oceania region qualifying tournament.

The Oceania Football Confederation will make the draw for an eight-nation men’s tournament to be held in Auckland between August 27 and September 9, 2023.

Eight teams — American Samoa, Fiji, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu — will be drawn into two groups, with fixtures to be staged at Mt Smart’s Go Media Stadium and Henderson’s Trusts Arena.

New Zealand will be represented by its U-23 team, the OlyWhites.

The semi-finals and final will be played at North Harbour Stadium, Albany.

Draw to be live-streamed

The draw will be live-streamed at 2pm (NZT) on Thursday June 15, 2023.

It will be hosted by OFC competitions director Chris Kemp.
