New Zealand were leading 1-0 when their international friendly against Qatar was abandoned at half-time, when the All Whites refused to take the pitch.
The New Zealand team were protesting the lack of action by officials after claims defender Michael Boxall had been subjected to a racial slur by a Qatari player.
In the 45 minutes of football played, New Zealand went ahead in the 17th minute when Marco Rojas laid off the ball for Marko Stamenic to drill home from 25 metres.

Rojas had two clear chances in the half but shot wide.
Qatar hit the post and produced three good saves from All Whites’ goalkeeper Max Crocombe, recalled to the side after a five-year hiatus.
