Waiheke United’s South American passion for football can be seen every weekend in the local competition, but with the FIFA Women’s World Cup quickly approaching to our shores, they’ll be able to share it with the entire world.
Sky Sport have produced a four-minute video feature following Waiheke United as they travel by ferry and public transport bus to Ellerslie’s ground at Michaels Ave.
The team are followed by their singing, dancing and chanting fans, as the players and supporters share their South American culture with grounds of clubs in the Lotto NRFL Men’s Championship.
