All Whites midfielder Sarpreet Singh has signed a three-year deal with second-tier German club Hansa Rostock.

He leaves Bayern Munich after a lengthy battle with injuries, and after loan spells to second tier sides FC Nürnberg and Jahn Regensburg.

Bayern Munich and Hansa Rostock struck a deal over Singh but neither will disclose the fee agreed for his transfer.

Singh (24) becomes Hansa Rostock’s eighth off-season signing and joins his new side for pre-season training on Friday July 7 (NZT).

Hansa Rostock Sporting Director Kristian Walter said:

“In Sarpreet Singh, we have signed a technically very experienced player who feels at home in the centre of attack and who will give us new impetus with his game intelligence.

“He has already proven his quality in the second division and will give our game even more variety.”

Auckland-born Singh said:

“I’m really looking forward to this new chapter in my career and to playing for the traditional club and in this fantastic stadium.

“So far, I’ve only had the experience of playing against Hansa, so I can’t wait to play for Hansa.”
