Ferns defender CJ Bott agrees new deal to stay with English club Leicester City

Football Fern CJ Bott has agreed a two-year contract extension with her English club Leicester City.

Right-sided defender Bott (28) is contracted to the Foxes till at least the English summer of 2025.

Bott told Leicester City’s television channel:

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far. It’s incredible to see how far the team has come in that time and it is a really exciting time to be part of the football club.

“I think I’ve developed as a player here and this league is so competitive, so it’s definitely where I want to be. I really love the values of the football club and it’s something I’m really pleased to be a part of.”

Since signing with the club a year ago, Bott has made 25 appearances for the club who play in the Barclays Women’s Super League.

Bott told the club website her side struggled last season but expected better fortunes next season.

“I’m so excited for the next season and beyond. The Club is going in the right direction and I’m ready to get started and help the team achieve great things.”

Meanwhile, her immediate focus was to perform with the Football Ferns at the FIFA Women’s World Cup, she said.
