Defenders Rebekah Stott and CJ Bott are on track to be fit for Thursday’s opening game in the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
They missed last Friday’s warm-up game against Italy with Stott having a bout of illness and Bott being rested as a precaution for a hamstring injury.
But Stott told 1News she was ready to face Norway at Auckland’s Eden Park.
“I’m on the mend,” she said. “Still got a light cold.”
Ferns midfielder Annalie Longo told 1News:
“I think there’s definitely a few nerves, but nerves are a good thing.
“We talk about pressure is a privilege so we’ll just take that out there and hopefully give the crowd something.”
