Ferns goalkeeper Vic Esson signs new deal with Scottish club Rangers

New Zealand goalkeeper Vic Esson has signed an extended contract with her Scottish club, keeping her at Scottish Women’s Premier League club Rangers for next season.

Esson (32) is currently with the Football Ferns at the FIFA Women’s World Cup and she kept a clean sheet in New Zealand’s 1-0 win against Norway in the tournament opener at Auckland’s Eden Park.

She joined Rangers last year after playing with German Bundesliga side SC Sand and Norwegian side Avaldsnes.

The Christchurch-born goalkeeper played her club football for Coastal Spirit and North Shore United in New Zealand, and was part of the national squad at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
