The Newcastle Jets have signed New Zealand midfielder Rebecca Burrows for their next women’s A-League campaign.

Burrows (28) is a former New Zealand U-17 and U-20 international who played for Auckland clubs Eastern Suburbs, Auckland United, Three Kings United, Glenfield Rovers, Metro and Ellerslie before her move to Australia.

She joined Victorian National Premier League club Heidelberg United last year, where she was voted Players’ Player of the Year.

On signing for Newcastle Jets, Burrows told the club’s website:

“I feel that I’m ready for the challenge and am excited to make this season as successful as possible for the team.”
