Head coach Darren Bazeley says his team got the result they needed against Fiji in their OFC Olympic qualifier, given it was the first time the team had played a match together.
After a strong first half. and leading 3-0 at the break, Bazeley said the second spell “wasn’t as fluid” but “I thought we did a good job throughout the game.”
The match finished 3-1 at Go Media Mt Smart Stadium, ensuring New Zealand go through to the tournament semi-finals.
