September dates set for 27 knockout cup finals in Auckland and Northland

Northern club footballers will get their shot at cup final glory over two weekends in September.

Northern Region Football have confirmed their successful knockout finals weekend format will return with 2023’s Auckland finals held on September 16-17, and Northland finals on September 23-24.

Auckland finals

Auckland’s finals will be hosted by Otatia United at Parrs Park, with 22 finals played on five pitches, with match officials appointed to all games.

Saturday’s play starts at 10am and ends with the NRF Federation Cup between Fencibles United Morgan taking on last year’s winners Uni-Mount Bohemian Alto Vuelto at 2pm.

Sunday’s games get underway at 10am and end with the Carol Waller Cup final between Western Springs Hot Springs and Hibiscus Coast W2 at 2.30pm.

Auckland’s finals schedule:

Northland finals

In Northland, the Stafford Choat and Women’s cup finals will be played at Trigg Arena, Kensington, on September 23-24.

The semi-finals for men’s and women’s competitions take place over the weekend of September 2-3.

A detailed schedule for finals weekend will be released after semi-finals are completed.
