Chris Kemp appointed to help Auckland City’s FIFA Club World Cup campaign

Experienced events and competitions manager Chris Kemp will play a key part in Auckland City’s planning for December’s FIFA Club World Cup.

Kemp has been appointed as Group Manager for the club’s participation in the event to be hosted by Saudi Arabia from December 12-22.

He has 16 years’ experience working with organisations such as North Harbour Stadium, New Zealand Football and Oceania Football Confederation.

Kemp has performed various roles at events such as six FIFA World Cups, including the 2022 FIFA Men’s World Cup in Qatar and the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia.

He told Auckland City’s website:

“Being part of a FIFA World Cup event is a special experience for everyone.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to be involved with Auckland City FC in the Club World Cup and assisting the players and coaching staff to make their experience as smooth enjoyable and successful as possible.”

Auckland City will make their 12th appearance at the FIFA Club World Cup in December.
