Auckland United have beaten Ellerslie 1-0 in their Women’s National League match at Michaels Ave.
A goal by Bree Johnson in the 38th minute was enough to give United the three points, drawing them level on points with league leaders Eastern Suburbs, but with a one-goal poorer goal difference.
Eastern Suburbs play fourth-placed Western Springs on Friday night.
