New Zealand captain Chris Wood has been sidelined with a hamstring problem less than three weeks before the All Whites play in the November international window.
Wood (31) was a surprise omission from Nottingham Forest’s line-up to face Liverpool in their latest English Premier League match after his double against Luton Town a week before.
Forest manager Steve Cooper said:
“Unfortunately, Woody picked up a hamstring injury.
“He will be out for a little while with it.”
New Zealand are scheduled to play Greece on Saturday November 18 and the Republic of Ireland four days later.
