Development officer Milan Elie leaving Capital Football to return to Auckland

Capital Football is losing staff member Milan Elle who is returning to Auckland after a spell as Federation Development Officer (Club Support Lead).

Announcing his planned departure at the end of November, Capital Football said:

“Milan is moving back to Auckland to be closer with his family and we wish him all the very best with the move back north.

“Milan is well respected by both the clubs and his colleagues at Capital Football as he has ably led the club support portfolio, which includes responsibility for coach education and the talent pathway in the region.

“Coach education remains in a healthy position and Milan has ensured coaches throughout the region have received access to development opportunities.

“The talent pathway has also benefitted from Milan’s expertise and likeable manner as he has corresponded with clubs and taken on a key role on the Youth Advisory Group.”

Elie (24) had joined Capital after working as a Football Development Officer for East Coast Bays, where he had been involved in the club’s coach education and talent development programme.

Capital’s Federation Development Manager, Steeve Sharpe, said:

“In a short amount of time, Milan has contributed a significant amount to Capital Football. He has been thoroughly professional in all his work with clubs, whilst also maintaining a welcoming and positive manner throughout.

“We are sorry Milan has cut his time short in the capital, but he goes with our well wishes and he can leave in the knowledge of a job well done.”

Capital Football says it will provide an update regarding a replacement.
