Auckland City to play warm-up games in Dubai ahead of FIFA Club World Cup

Auckland City will play two friendly matches in Dubai against top local clubs as they prepare for their FIFA Club World Cup campaign.

The Navy Blues have arrived in Dubai after a 17-hour flight from Auckland, and are acclimatising to local temperatures expected to exceed 30-deg.

On Friday (NZT), City will play first division side Al Dhaid.

On Wednesday December 6, they’ll play another first division club, United Sport FC, before leaving Dubai for Saudi Arabia the next day.

A week later, Auckland City play the opening game at the FIFA Club World Cup in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
