Rojas joins coaching staff at Lotto NRFL Championship’s North Shore United

North Shore United have appointed experienced coach Mauricio Rojas as assistant to the club’s new head coach, Dave Fahy.

Rojas (46) has a UEFA A-Licence and was previously Technical Director for six years at Hibiscus Coast, and was an age group coach for Northern Region and NZ Football talent centres.

Last season, he kept active in football, playing in the NRF Masters Division 4 for West Coast Rangers’ over-35s.

Announcing the appointment, Fahy said: “Mauricio brings a wealth of experience and expertise in football coaching and will be a great addition to the team.”

North Shore United will compete in the Lotto NRFL Men’s Championship in 2024, finishing mid-table last year after dropping from the Northern League in 2022.

“Mauricio’s extensive experience and coaching philosophy align perfectly with our vision for North Shore United,” Fahy says.

“We believe his addition to the coaching team will contribute immensely to the development and success of our high-performance programme.”

He has also worked as an academy coach at London clubs Crystal Palace, Fulham and Queens Park Rangers.
