North Wellington seek a manager for their youth academy

North Wellington are looking to recruit a manager for their youth academy.

One of the region’s largest clubs with almost 1,000 members, the club seeks an academy manager who will be responsible for the organisation, planning and delivery of their youth football programme, which includes boys and girls from U-14 to U-17.

The role will also require hands-on involvement with the men’s reserve side and U-17 boys.

The club says the role needs to manage key stakeholder relationships with local schools and colleges, the Onslow Junior Football Club and with North Wellington’s director of football and club manager.

In its request for applications, the club says the appropriate candidate will be:

  • An effective communicator.
  • Able to manage self and others to meet deadlines.
  • Willing to work within a fast-paced team environment.
  • Able to create and deliver a comprehensive strategic plan.
  • Able to display a growth mindset.
  • Capable with Microsoft Office, Friendly Manager, HUDL, VEO.

Qualifications

The candidate needs to have a current driving licence and hold (or be working towards) appropriate coaching qualifications (OFC/NZF B Licence).
