New Zealand international Daisy Cleverley has helped her HB Køge to a 1-0 win, scoring with an 85th minute volley to defeat bottom-placed Aab in the Danish women’s Elitedivisionen.
Cleveley (26) had already gone close to scoring, striking a shot off the Aab crossbar, before she finally found the net with a controlled volley from the edge of the area.
The win kept Cleverley’s HB Køge in third place of the eight-team competition.
Football Ferns team mate Claudia Bunge also featured in the game, as part of the HB Køge defence.
Meanwhile, another Fern, Ally Green, also scored in the Danish League in her AGF team’s 2-2 draw with Fortuna Hjørring.
