Atticus Jones to join Nomads United as Football Development Officer

Southern League club Nomads United have appointed Atticus Jones as their Football Development Officer for next season.

Jones (26) will leave his role as Football Development Manager at Waimak United to take up the Nomads’ position.

He is the Canterbury United Futsal Dragons assistant coach, the head coach of St Bedes first XI, and holds a Masters of Science in Psychology, with a specific focus on sports psychology and motivation.

Nomads United say Jones will lead the club’s junior grades and programmes, overseeing:

  • Junior skill centre and pre-academy programme coordinator.
  • Community coach education lead, delivering NZF qualifications, Nomads-specific coach education and coaching support across key programmes.
  • Community programmes coach.
  • Nomads pathway coach.

Jones told Nomad United’s social media channel: “I am eager to contribute my knowledge and passion for football and futsal to help elevate the club’s already established programmes and propel it to new heights.”
