Central League club Miramar Rangers have confirmed their men’s coaching staff for the 2024 season.
The club have announced the following appointments:
Head coach & Director of Football — Kale Herbert
Kale Herbert will continue as the Director of Football and as the senior men’s head coach for the 2024 season.
The former head coach of Hamilton Wanderers joined Rangers in 2022, as an assistant coach, and succeeded Scott Hales as head coach for the 2023 season.
Herbert (31) will also continue to develop the recently established Miramar Rangers Football Academy.

Capital Premier head coach & Central League assistant coach — Curtis Jones
The Capital Premier side will be led by Curtis Jones who takes over from Stu Widdowsøn.
Jones (28) will also continue as the Central League team’s assistant coach and as a coach in the academy.

Head of High Performance & Central League assistant coach — Lee Taylor
Lee Taylor joins the club as Head of High Performance.
Taylor has more than 25 years of experience as a high-performance player, manager, and coach, having successfully worked with elite athletes at multiple football clubs in the UK, New Zealand, and India.
In addition to his role at Miramar, Taylor is also the Director of Football at Scots College.
Taylor has been a sports performance therapist and high-performance coach working for professional UK clubs Scarborough, Barnet, Luton Town, Wimbledon, Peterborough, Mansfield Town, Boston United and Notts County as well as travelling abroad with the Liverpool FC Academy.
Internationally, he worked for three years at the Wellington Phoenix when Ricki Herbert was head coach and the pair re-united at Indian Super League club NorthEast United.
Other international roles have included work with the Antigua Football Federation, the Egyptian Paralympic Track & Field Team and a second Indian Super League club, FC Pune City.
Head of Goalkeeping — Steve Bayard
Steve Bayard, who joined the club in 2022, will continue as Rangers’ Head of Goalkeeping.
Bayard (35) has previously coached at Wainuiomata and Waterside Karori.
Central League Team Manager — Tracey Hodge
Tracey Hodge returns for a second year as Central League team manager, after first joining the club in 2022 to undertake the role of manager for the Capital Premier side.
