Waitemata seek women’s head coach for new season

Auckland club Waitemata are seeking a women’s head coach to lead their 2024 campaign.

The club has posted the following notice seeking applications:

• Lead the coaching staff and players to achieve their full potential on and off the field.
•Develop and implement effective training programs that foster individual skill development and team cohesion.
• Strategize and execute match-day tactics to secure successful outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with reserve and youth coaches to ensure a seamless pathway for player development.
• Uphold the club’s values, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.

• Previous coaching experience is preferable but not essential. Full support will be provided by the club’s director of football.
• An advanced NZ coaching qualification is desirable. C-licence or international equivalent (or working towards).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Passion for women’s soccer and a commitment to player development.

• Opportunity to lead a talented and ambitious women’s team.
• Work alongside dedicated reserve and youth coaches to nurture a holistic player development pathway.
• This is a voluntary position but the club will assist supporting your personal coach development and may lead into other avenues of paid coaching within the club.

Full support will be provided by the club’s director of football and committee.
