He moved to the Mariners from Northern League club Western Springs in 2022.

Sydney Olympic are one of eight clubs already given the go-ahead to join a new professional national second-tier competition to be run by Football Australia.

The others are APIA Leichhardt, Avondale, Marconi Stallions, Preston Lions, South Melbourne, Sydney United 58 and Wollongong Wolves, and up to four more could be added.

After breaking into the Springs first team at 16, Zoricich played National League football for Waitakere United in 2020-21 and was selected for the national U-20 training camps.

However, after attending only one camp, COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the U-20 FIFA World Cup, and he missed his chance for national age group honours.

Zoricich is the son of former All White Chris Zoricich, a former coach at Western Springs who moved to New South Wales in late 2022.
