Former Newcastle United midfielder Rosie Missen joins Fencibles United

Title-winning Fencibles United have signed former Newcastle United and West Ham United midfielder Rosie Missen for the 2024 season.

Missen (30) was meant to join the club last season but suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during pre-season.

However, the club has welcomed Missen through their social media ahead of their first season in the Lotto NRFL Women’s Premier League after winning promotion from the Lotto NRFL Women’s Championship.

Manawatu-raised Missen captained the Massey University team as a teenager before heading overseas for a stint with London club West Ham United before joining Newcastle United in 2021.

Newcastle United played in the FA Women’s National League Division One North, and she was joined at the club in 2022 by All Whites captain Chris Wood.
