It was a big weekend for the Wellington Phoenix men’s team, All Whites captain Chris Wood and Football Ferns goalkeeper Vic Esson.
The Phoenix stay top of the Isuzu-UTE A-League, while the Nix women completed a frustrating four-week run of away fixtures with another loss.
Meanwhile, Wood continued his hot streak of goalscoring form, and Esson will play her second Scottish Cup final since joining Rangers.
