New Zealand will play Egypt in the first game of the four-nation W Cup tournament in the United Arab Emirates in March.
The All Whites, rated 104th in the FIFA men’s world rankings, will meet the 33rd-ranked Egyptians.
Egypt’s star player is Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah who is currently injured but expected to return to match fitness during February.
New Zealand will play Egypt in Abu Dhabi on Friday March 22, 2024.
The winner will meet either Croatia or Tunisia in the tournament final on March 26, while a play-off for third place will be staged on March 25 (local time).
New Zealand’s games will be streamed live and free on FIFA+.
