U-20 international Kian Donkers makes move to Dutch first division club

New Zealand U-20 striker Kian Donkers has transferred between Dutch clubs, joining first division side VVV Venio.

Former Cashmere Technical forward Donkers (19) will play for VVV in their U-21 squad after his move from NEC Nijmegen, who play a division higher in the Eredivisie, the top tier of Dutch football.

Born in the Netherlands, he joined NEC Nijmegen after a successful trial in February 2023, after impressive performances for New Zealand at the 2022 OFC U-19 Championship at which he scored nine goals.

He scored 11 goals for Cashmere Technical in the 2022 Southern League, and added three more in the Men’s National League.

He went to the 2023 FIFA U-20 Men’s World Cup with New Zealand.
