Former Aucklander and New Zealand U-17 international Konstantino Gorgiovski has joined Spanish La Liga club Las Palmas.

A representative for Gorgiovski (17) said he had joined the club on a scholarship agreement and would play for their U-19s.

Giorgiovski has moved to Spain after playing in Macedonia for three clubs in 14 months.

He joined first division side FK Makedonija Gjorche Petrov in December 2022 before a short spell at second division club FK Belasica. Since July 2023, he has played for first division FK Pobeda.

Midfielder Gorgiovski was a member of the New Zealand side that won the OFC U-17 Championship in Fiji in January 2023, to qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Indonesia in November.

However, he was not selected for the World Cup squad.

Gorgiovski’s representative said his move to Spain had been arranged by the player’s agent, Charly Perisa, and Las Palmas’ chief scout Branko Milovanovic.

As a six-year-old, Gorgiovski played for Oratia United. He then played junior football at Waitemata FC, Ellerslie and East Coast Bays before heading for Europe in late 2022.
