Auckland club Metro FC are planning a weekend of events in April to celebrate their 125th anniversary.
The celebrations will run from Friday April 5 till Sunday April 7, 2024.
The club says activities include the reveal of a new club logo, and specially-made commemorative polo shirts.
Here’s what’s planned:
Friday April 5
Metro will host a mix and mingle at their clubrooms in Mt Albert, with finger food and a cash bar available.
Saturday April 6
Metro will play Onehunga Mangere United in the Lotto NRFL Men’s Championship at Phyllis St at 2.45pm.
Before the game, the club will unveil its new club logo.
Children’s activities will be staged during the Saturday, while the canteen will provide meals, and the club’s cash bar will be open.
Sunday April 7
Plans for Sunday will be announced soon.

Metro are producing commemorative polo shirts, available on a pre-order basis at $55 each.
