Kick-off times changed for OFC Women’s Champions League tournament

Floodlight problems have forced the rescheduling of kick-off times for Auckland United’s three group games at the OFC Women’s Champions League tournament in the Solomon Islands.

United’s first game was originally set to be played at 9pm (NZT)/7pm (local time) on Monday.

With the need to complete matches without lights, the game with Fiji’s Labasa club will now be played at 5pm (NZT)/3pm (local time).

Thursday’s match against New Caledonia’s AS Academy Féminine and Sunday’s game with Tonga’s Veitongo will both kick off at the new time of 2pm (NZT)/12pm (local time).

The rescheduling means the group games will be played in higher temperatures and in more humid conditions than first anticipated by the New Zealand side.

The matches will still be streamed live and free by FIFA+.
