Auckland United have named Juliana Los as the manager of the club’s girls academy, and she will be head coach for their women’s reserves.

Announcing the appointment, Auckland United said: “Juliana began playing football as a six-year-old in a Swiss town on the Italian border, where she was captivated by the Oranje playing on TV (who she supports with her whānau) and the football-loving culture.”

Since then, Los (27) has attended the Asia Pacific Football Academy, and Olé FA in New Zealand, and played at St Mary’s College of California, Moraga, and at California State University, Chico.

Los was selected for the New Zealand U-20 World Cup squad.

She played at Torslanda IK and professionally at Sunnanå SK in Sweden, where she also coached female players aged 11-13 and 15-16.

Los is a C-Licence-qualified coach.

“I look forward to connecting with the AU community this season and witnessing some beautiful football transpire,” Los said.

Auckland United’s women’s programme has been particularly successful in recent seasons, winning the 2023 Women’s National League and the 2024 OFC Women’s Champions League title.
