Football Ferns coach Jitka Klimková says her team will go into Wednesday’s game against Wales with a positive approach, and looking to improve on Sunday’s performance against Norway.
In her final media conference before the friendly international in Spain, Klimková said she thought New Zealand had been competitive against Norway, ranked 11th in the world.
Of her aims for the Wales game, she said: “We want to be more composed; we want to be more creative.”
She said she was looking for her players to improve their decision-making on the ball, and to have more possession of the ball.
Meanwhile, defender Kate Taylor (18) told the media conference she was pleased with her debut against Norway and had benefitted hugely from her time in training camp with players as experienced as her teammates.
