Auckland United will host a fun day for girls and women keen to participate in football.

It’s all part of football’s annual girl’s and women’s month, held in March.

United’s event will take place at the club’s Keith Hay Park on Saturday March 19, 2022.

Everyone’s welcome and activities will include some fun football games and interaction with United’s women’s Lotto NRFL Premier Women’s team.

The day also provides the chance to meet a football/futsal Fern and to meet United’s women’s head coach, former Football Fern Katie Duncan.

Timetable

9:30am: 5 – 8yrs

10:30am: 9 – 13 years

The session is led by Katie Duncan, and the club will have spot prizes and giveaways!

United say the day is inclusive and open to all.

“Bring along a friend, get hold of your team from last year, or just come for a chat,” the club says.

“We would really like our girls and women to have a lovely day playing football and reconnecting with each other and the club.

“We also invite you to stick around and watch our Women’s Premier team take on Western Springs in a pre-season friendly.”
