Te Atatu striker Rhys Caples reaches 100-match milestone in style

posted in: News, Recognition

Te Atatu striker Rhys Caples scored twice in his 100th game for the club when they beat Ranui Swanson 6-2 in the latest round of the NRF Championship.

The double took his Te Atatu career tally to 72 goals in his hundred appearances, one of the best goal-to-game ratios in northern football.

The 23-year-old made his debut for Te Atatu in 2018, signing for the club in 2017 after a season with Onehunga Sports.

He started as a junior with Te Atatu in 2004.

Caples’ latest goals take him into second place on the Championship’s Golden Boot table, behind Papatoetoe’s Iwa Shaker.
