Papakura City’s Maxine Cooper and East Coast Bays’ Denny Twigg have been named the Most Valuable Players for this year’s Futsal SuperLeague competitions.
Cooper’s Papakura side won the Ford-sponsored women’s league, beating East Coast Bays in a final decided by penalty shootout.
She also won the Resene Golden Boot for the women’s competition.
Twigg was a key member of the East Coast Bays team that won the men’s league, beating Auckland City 8-2 in Sunday’s final at the Pulman Arena.

Golden Glove double for East Coast Bays
The Resene Golden Boot for men was taken by Bays’ captain Eduardo Exposito Espinosa.
Golden Glove awards for best-performing goalkeepers went to East Coast Bays’ Corina Brown (women) and Bay’s Guilherme Garbuglia (men’s).
