Melville United to hold ‘Turn on the Lights’ ceremony at Gower Park

Melville United members and supporters will gather at Hamilton’s Gower Park on Tuesday evening (February 28) to perform a ceremony to turn on their new floodlights.

The club has invited guests to watch the lights go on, and to watch boys and girls from their academy train.

The evening’s programme:

  • 5.30pm onwards: Mix and mingle in the clubrooms, and watch training.
  • 6.20pm: Speech by Melville United president Wayne Bates.
  • 6.30pm: The lights are turned on.

“Melville United would like to thank Hamilton City Council, Trust Waikato, WEL Energy Trust, Grassroots Trust and others for their support, funding, and installing these high-quality lights,” the club says.
